The Long Range Rifle L115A3
Snipers from the British Army’s 16 Air Assault Brigade with the latest weapon in their armoury, the Long Range Rifle L115A3, at a range at the Land Warfare Centre at Warminster, southern England, Thursday March 6, 2008. With greater range, power and accuracy than existing sniper weapons, the Long Range L115A3 Rifle is already being used by some soldiers in Afghanistan and many more are set to arrive in the coming weeks. At 23,000 pounds(US$47,000, euro30,000) each, including all its related kit, the precision rifle is the most expensive weapon of its kind to be used by British Armed Forces.
